This is a traditional Indonesian-style Rendang curry paste with a deep, aromatic spice profile and rich savoury finish. It produces a slow-cooked style curry with layered flavour rather than heat, making it ideal for long, gentle cooking.
Rendang is traditionally cooked down with coconut milk until the sauce thickens and coats the meat, creating an intense, full-bodied curry. This paste is especially suited to beef, but also works beautifully with lamb, goat, chicken, or vegetables.
All of our curry pastes are mild by design. Extra chilli can be added during cooking to suit your taste.
